    ehcache is not free. Only single machine version is free. Distributed cache is not free.

    There are two versions of ehcache:
    Open Source and Enterprise

    Open Source is free.

    Enterprise is the Open Source version but with some more features and support.
    Users of open source Ehcache can easily upgrade to Enterprise Ehcache.
